Our prayers are with our community and all those that have been affected by the mudslides. The loss of homes and life  along with injuries and damage is horrible and sad. We will do all we can to help. Rancho Alegre had debris come into some areas, thankfully the systems we put in place held up. Larson Meadow’s bridge was in the most danger, but we were able to clear the creek of debris to help water flow.

Whittier Fire Fund:

Official Los Padres Council Fund for the Re-Building of Rancho Alegre

On July 8, 2017, the Whittier Fire broke out about 1:30 pm. The winds drove the flames over the camp destroying most of the structures ot both the Main Camp and at Larsen Meadow. Rancho Alegre has been the Council's home camp for 52 years.

There is insurance, but additional funds are needed to bring the camp back on line. To make a difference, please donate today.
