The Summit, Scouting's newest high adventure base and home to all future National Jamborees now has its own page on the Council website. Check out these interesting articles and come back regularly as the material is updated regularly by National.

What is the Summit?

The Summit Bechtel Reserve is 10,600 acres of incredible West Virginia terrain currently under development as the permanent home for the national jamboree and the fourth national high-adventure base. Plans for the Summit also include a leadership training center, Scouting museum, and more.

The Summit Blog will be a critical source of information for Scouts and Scouters as the 2013 jamboree approaches.  http://www.SummitBlog.org

Finally, we want to tell the rest of the country about the great things Scouts are doing in the local areas. We want to know about high-adventure activities, Scout achievements, and innovations. Anyone can submit a story idea using the form provided in the blog at http://www.summitblog.org/got-a-scouting-story-to-share/

The Summit Bechtel Reseve website is at www.summit.scouting.org.
