Scouts, Scouters, Friends, Families and Community Leaders,
THANK YOU! Our council, along with your support, has been delivering life lasting experiences for 99 years this October. This has only been possible because the commitment of volunteers like yourselves. The Boy Scouts of America program has been a key landmark of our country for 108 years and still relevant to the needs of our youth.
Some folks have asked why we have experienced so many changes in the last 5 years. I have given this question a lot of thought over the last few months and have realized that we have not changed our identity and our mission to engrave the Scout Oath and Law in as many youths as possible. With the ability for girls to join Cub Scouts and Scouting BSA, we now can deliver our mission to thousands more as we serve the complete family unit. Our core program has not changed, and our value-based delivery is still the same…
